This has always been my favorite Sushi restaurant in Orlando. They spend more money on buying the highest quality fish in Orlando then anyone else. I recommend the volcano roll, you won't find another this good any place else.
I only award five stars after multiple visits. Amura in Lake Mary/Heathrow has been a terrific dining experience time after time. The service is first class, the venue is beautiful, and the food is top notch and affordable. I usually go for the Hibachi entrees but the Bobo rolls are spectacular. Five stars!
My friend and I ordered a boat of sushi. Food was amazing and the waitress was quick with the orders. I wish she had warned us of the size of the boat, though! You have to try the sliced steak appetizer (I can't remember what it's called). I will never forget the amazing taste!
I have never tried sushi that I liked, so I wrote it off for many years. Date night with the wife, she asked if I would try Amura. I agreed, she also convinced me to try the Bubba roll. I must say OH MY GOD I fell in love, and forced my wife to order more as I ate most of hers. That was a 2 months ago and I have since been back 4 times at which I taste tested Many new kinds. Amura is now my wife and I's - go to place!
Took a business group to Amura last Thursday night for dinner. As always, the sushi is amazing...the service was terrific for our group of 9...the meal moved along very smoothly. I've been going to the Sand Lake, Church and Lake Mary locations for a combined 12 years and I've never once had a bad experience. Amura is the best sushi in Orlando in my opinion.
Stopped in with co-workers and sat at the bar so I didn't get a chance to experience the hibachi grill or restaurant portion but the atmosphere at the bar was pretty cool. Very casual with friendly staff of bartenders that were very attentive to making sure you were being taken care of. Also order some sushi and I have to say it was really good. The quality was amazing, the presentation was spot on. Even the tuna and salmon ... amazing!!! I always heard awesome reviews about this place, first time here, and can't say what I heard was wrong. Excellent and can't wait to come back!
I liked the sushi rolls and the service was good. I went on Mother's Day and it was not busy at all and we made the reservation 1 1/2 hours beforehand. This review was short and brief. Maybe more when I feel like it. The plaza location is quite nice and not crowded (something I don't get often in SoFla) with many stores, restaurants, live entertainment and a movie theater. I recommend for those undecided moments.
A bunch of hungry boys went for dinner after a round of golf. We've been here several times in past and did not disappoint. Korean short ribs, thin sliced sirloin on hot plate, tuna carpaccio was excellent. All the rolls and sashimi we ordered were fresh. A few stand out in taste, Hawaiian, Dynamite, Dragon but really, all the sushi taste awesome. Service was very good and we were even upgraded on food compliments of the restaurant. We love this restaurant whenever we visit Orlando and the cigar bar Corona next door is a good spot after dinner.
