Best Sushi in Orlando!

Reviews

Here’s what others are saying about Amura:

I had a stop over recently in Orlando, Florida and a good friend of mine persuaded me that I must try out Amura Japanese restaurant for their amazing variety of sushi rolls. And that he of course would meet me there too. We ate at their sand lake road location. The place looked newly remodeled and it was packed…both good signs in my book. We were pleasantly greeted by the hostess and manager on duty. We ordered about 7 or 8 different rolls – we can pound some sushi! The rolls were unbelievable!! Fresh, delicious, and mouth watering. They had some really unique dishes that i had to take pictures of and post to facebook. It also arrived at our table quickly and constantly. That actually could have been a little slower – but hey… who complains about getting your food quickly…especially sushi? We had their famous Bubba Roll, a Hawaiian Roll, Rainbow Roll, a Tuna Tower, Salmon Skin Roll, Volcano Roll, and Mango Tango Roll. My mouth is watering again right now just thinking about all that amazing sushi!! Thanks Amura and next time i’m in Orlando I’ll be def visiting you again. I highly recommend this place to anybody visiting Central Florida!

Best sushi in town. Excellent and creative choice of rolls, but very good traditional sushi as well. I recommend that you sit at the huge long bar. Non-sushi eating friends compliment the other menu items as well. Service is often rushed which is why I recommend sitting at the bar for more personalized attention.

This restaurant has a very large selection of sushi, which takes time to go through the menu. They have the best volcano roll I have had anywhere. I highly recommend this restaurant, if you are a sushi lover.

The sushi is still great but the owners have finally remodeled and the results are great. You can finally see the food, the noise level is much lower and there is more comfortable seating. Service is usually quite good. We’ve eaten dinner here many times and have never been disappointed. We however have never tried the hibachi side of the restaurant which thankfully is self contained so no smoke or noise permeates the main room.

Very clean, amazing service, great sushi! Great lunch specials! I go there every Sunday for their Maki Combo, I dont eat tuna so they let me substitute another roll. Great people, I would recommend for any sushi lover.

Excellent service, great food and superb sushi! The Bubba roll is my personal fav (tempura shrimp and creme cheese in a roll). The also have an excellent teriyaki chicken dinner which includes miso soup, ginger salad, tempura veggies and rice. Have been going here for over 5 years and would highly recommend this for Japanese cuisine.

My husband and I were in the mood for sushi during a recent visit to Orlando and the concierge at our hotel immediately recommended Amura as the best sushi in town. We went on a Tuesday night in January so it wasn’t too crowded and we did not need a reservation, but if you’re going on a Fri/Sat or during the summer, I would definitely recommend you make a reservation. We were greeted warmly and our waitress was most helpful in explaining the menu, making recommendations and answering our questions – even some that we didn’t know to ask. The food was amazing and a good value. We had a great evening and left completely satisfied. If I return to Orlando, I would definitely return to Amura and will recommend it to friends as well.

Ate here God knows how many times while living in Orlando, and every time I visit I try to stop in. Why? The Tuna Bonsai Roll. (the bubba and rolls royce (which at the time they only made at the dr phillips location, don’t know if that’s changed) are also very good) Sometimes if I’m feeling brave I’ll order the Atom Bomb Nigiri, which is really just a ton of wasabi and roe.

The service has always been great, whether in a group of two or twenty, the fish is insanely fresh, the flavor combinations are really creative, and the chef specials never steer you wrong! I do recall thinking the beer/wine prices were a little higher than expected, but maybe that’s just Orlando these days.
